Natural Treatment of Lyme Disease
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly 25,000 cases of lyme disease were confirmed in 2011. Ninety-six percent of cases occur in 13 states: Connecticut, Deleware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Virginia and Wisconsin. Natural health expert Dr. Denise Clark specializes in the holistic treatment of this lyme disease. In this interview she describes the symptoms of lyme disease, as well as the key components of her natural approach to healing.

Denise Clark, ND, is in private practice at Clark Naturopathic Medicine in Boulder, Colo., and also works independently at the Colorado Therapies and Aquatic Center. After receiving her chemistry degree from the University of Colorado, she worked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency before going on to obtain her naturopathic doctorate from Bastyr University. She is the president of the Colorado Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
