Talking With a Resveratrol Expert
A new study featuring patients with diabetes published in the June 2012 issue of Nutrition Research, found that resveratrol supplementation helped control blood sugar levels. Wellness Times spoke with Heather Hausenblas, PhD, to find out the mechanism of action and what else people can do to help stabilize blood sugar levels.

Heather A. Hausenblas, PhD, is an internationally renowned physical activity and healthy aging expert, researcher and author. She is an associate professor and director of the exercise psychology laboratory at the University of Florida. She is also a visiting professor at Jacksonville University. Hausenblas is the coauthor of four scientific books and has published more than 80 scientific journal articles. She is currently the principal investigator on two National Institutes of Health research grants, in which she is examing the effects of physcial activity during motherhood. She earned her doctorate from the University of Western Ontario in Canada.
